David Pflieger is an aviation expert who currently heads the Silver Airways airline in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. Dave Pflieger has been in the industry since the 1990s, having directed and overseen airline operations at several major airlines, such as Delta and Virgin America. Prior to his current position with Silver Airways, Dave Pflieger helped launch and direct Air Pacific, an airline headquartered in Fiji. In 2013, the airline adopted the Airbus A330 as its primary aircraft.
Air Pacific opted to replace its previous aircraft, B747s and B767s, with the Airbus A330 to upgrade the fuel efficiency standard, as well as to introduce a comfortable, state-of-the-art cabin focused on comfort and innovative design. The switch coincided with the airline's new branding as “Fiji Airways,” which began commercial air services in April 2013. The tail of the plane bears the artwork of Makereta Matemosi, a Fijian artist who depicted native symbols that represent welcome and connection among the islands' residents. Airbus is one of the top modern aircrafts, with the A330 model offering a range of 250 to 300 seats and focusing more directly on comfort. Comments are closed.
